Tricloud is a Windows desktop cloud-storage beta. It combines everyday file storage, sharing, backup, and offline access with an experimental mode that lets participating PCs contribute selected unused disk space.
Capacity generally comes from infrastructure operated or contracted by the cloud provider. Customers use the service; the provider supplies the underlying storage.
A person can use cloud storage and optionally contribute a chosen amount of spare capacity from their Windows PC to the experimental test network. A contributor reward program is planned for the future, but its timing and terms have not been decided, and no rewards are paid during the current beta.
Tricloud is not a fully decentralized dApp. Authentication, account information, file metadata, node management, placement, and coordination remain on a central management server. The current beta uses no blockchain, token, wallet, smart contract, NFT, or DAO.
Start with familiar cloud-drive tasks. If you want to help test the experimental network, you can also allocate spare disk space from the same desktop app.
Create folders, upload and download test files, and manage them through a desktop cloud-drive interface.
Test automatic backup and make selected files or folders available when your PC is offline.
Choose an amount, start the provider node, monitor its status, and stop contribution whenever necessary. A contributor reward program is planned for the future, but its timing and terms have not been decided, and no rewards are paid during the current beta.

Tricloud is an early prototype. These limits are stated clearly so testers know exactly what they are installing and what the current beta can—and cannot—promise.
Tested on two Windows 11 x64 PCs. Windows 10, Windows on ARM64, macOS, and Linux have not been verified for this release.
Features may be incomplete, unstable, or temporarily unavailable. Use small, non-sensitive test files only.
Storage providers receive no money, cryptocurrency, token, or other reward during the current beta test.
The beta is not code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen displays a warning. Download only from the official GitHub release.
The installer includes the backend files and Python runtime needed by storage-provider mode.
Does cloud storage have to depend only on large centralized storage providers? This beta is looking for practical evidence: can ordinary users understand the idea, install the app, use its basic storage features, and reliably contribute spare space?
Early feedback matters most now because the product and its onboarding can still change quickly.
